A Tough Road

It's tough being in the Entertainment Industry. This, I've known since 4 years back. All the glamour you see on screen and on stage are what are the result of hours and days and months of hard work. Noone sees that. When you do wrong, you get criticised. Though I have not been through real hardcore hardships, I would still say that it's never easy being an artiste. It's more than what you see, more than what most people perceive and believe.

I'm saying this because recently, two artistes from Mediacorp left and decided to call it quits. Both cited personal reasons and personal time and space. I'm sad because Dawn has been one of my favourite actress since I first saw her at Teens Model Search at Plaza Singapura. I think she's really cute and I hope to be able to work with her one day. When I heard she was preparing for her album, I was excited. But now, she has decided to leave the industry.

Jessica on the other hand, I saw her filming at Studio 6 once while I was at Mediacorp for my acting classes. She's really beautiful in person, and she's very friendly too. Her professionalism and charisma attracted me. Felt sad that she had to leave. I hoped she could do more.

Whatever it is, one thing is for sure, I'll miss them. I wish them all the best in their future endeavours. Best Wishes!

I'll be attending Hippo and Duck tour with OMY.sg tomorrow. My first visit!

How To Train Your Dragon

As promised! The movie review!

How To Train Your Dragon

Genre: Fantasy
Director: Dean Deblois, Chris Sanders
Cast (Voice of): Gerard Butler, Jonah Hill, Jay Baruchel
RunTime: 1 hr 35 mins
Rating: PG

Movie Synopsis
From the studio that brought you "Shrek," "Madagascar" and "Kung Fu Panda" comes "How to Train Your Dragon" - a comedy adventure set in the mythical world of burly Vikings and wild dragons, based on the book by Cressida Cowell. The story centers around a Viking teenager named Hiccup, who lives on the island of Berk, where fighting dragons is a way of life. The teen's smarts and offbeat sense of humor don't sit too well with his tribe or its chief, who happens to be Hiccup's father. However, when Hiccup is included in Dragon Training with the other Viking teens, he sees his chance to prove he has what it takes to be a fighter. But when he encounters (and ultimately befriends) an injured dragon, his world is flipped upside down, and what started out as Hiccup's one shot to prove himself turns into an opportunity to set a new course for the future of the entire tribe.

Movie Review

Absolutely stunning movie. Little wonder there have been so many people recommending me to watch this film. It's definately worth the price anytime anyday. Animal lovers should watch this movie. People who likes Stitch should watch this movie (because the dragon Toothless really have a strong resemblance to Stitch). In any case, I strongly recommend everyone to watch it. No regrets! Promise!

F&N Singapore Dance Delight 2010

Went to watch the Preliminaries of F&N Singapore Dance Delight on 27 March 2010 (Saturday) at Takashimaya Shopping Centre after receiving the invitation from OMY. I was quite surprised to see so many peoples there waiting for the competition to start. I believe most of them are the contestant's supporters.

The competition kick off at 7.30pm sharp and many teams took part to challenge for the best street dancers to represent Singapore at Dance Delight Vol. 17 in Osaka, Japan.

Many contestant teams are excited to showcase their power dance on stage. I would say that there are many skillful and talented dancers in Singapore. I'm so proud to be there to do a blog write-up for OMY last Saturday.

This event not only attracted many youngsters, it also capture the attention of aunties and uncles as well. Saw the picture below? Wow! Even aunties are amazed by the contestant's dances. I personally felt that we should have this type of contest more often as it can bring everybody closer too. (",)

I did a video recording for two team and share with my readers and supporters. Actually for more information on the next round, you can also visit http://www.dancedelight.sg/.

Short Clip from two of the Teams

LIVE Interview from the audiences

More video clips are available at Youtube. You guys may check it out at Youtube and tell me in my chatbox which team do you like. Let me know your answer ok? :)

F&N is the presenter for Singapore Dance Delight 2010. Apart from that, they also take care of all the supporters and audiences by serving free soft-drinks at Orchard Road during the competition. Of course myself and rest of my friends also went to get ourself a cup as well. I'm always a fan of F&N drinks anyway. Lol.

Remember them? They are Andy and Ah Wei, members of SOUL from Superband Season 1. Took a picture of them too. They are great dancers and they are there to support this event. SOUL rock!

The winner of Singapore Dance Delight Vol. 1 will represent Singapore in Dance Delight Volume 17 in Osaka, on 21 August 2010.

Movie & Donut

Was suppose to have training today but Boss was down with the runs last minute so we all got to rest at home.

娟姐, Cat 姐 and I decided to pay a last minute visit to Boss as well as to get some food for him. It was meant to be a surprise visit. I hope he was surprised. After he took his dinner and medication, we headed to Causeway Point for a short relaxing night out.

Stopped by Donut Empire and I bought my favourite donuts again. Hehe.

After that we caught How To Train A Dragon. It is an awesome movie. Will do the review some other time!

After movie we headed to the Pasar Malam just beside for a walk. It was the usual stuffs, except we saw this interesting "ride" among the usual rides in the amusement park section. It was so cool to see this in a Pasar Malam. It's a water sport ride. Some boy goes into a deflated plastic and the staff just pumps air into it and inflates it into a ball. The boy in the ball is then helped into the water and he's allowed to play in it for a period of time. I wanted to try but I guess I was overage and maybe also overweight. Maybe Joseph can try next time! Haha!

After that my two sis got me a gift. They always 破费 buy me things. It a jigsaw set of my idol's poster. Which idol? You all guess! :)

Thank you for the wonderful night!

Ala Carte Buffet

Today, Aunty May treated us dinner at Akira Japanese Restaurant. I've always drive pass or just go pass that restaurant and have always wanted to try it out and finally got the chance to today.

It's pretty cool when we stepped in we were ushered to a room or in china they call it the “厢房”, which means we had a room for ourselves. For some reason, we felt important as there are only 4 rooms while the rest of the people eats outside as per normal. Maybe because mummy made reservation. But anyway, my initial feeling was cool and excited.

This is the room. Cool right!

My aunt looking happy after receiving her gift chocolates! (It's not her birthday though)

Sashimi Set
The other random orders

It's ala carte buffet, which means you order anything you want on the menu and they cook it and deliver it to you. Supposedly it's free flow la. So we ordered quite a fair bit of dishes. Some came, some didnt. I had ordered plain rice earlier and it wasnt served. 15 minutes later the waitress walked passed and I told her to get me a bowl of rice and she said ok, but the rice didnt come. It happened for 3 times until I was quite upset already. One bowl of plain rice also take so long to serve. I went out and stood outside the room. I was calling out to every staff who walked passed me and they were "busy" with serving their food and walking around. I said to one of them, "Hello, can you help me with my order?" and she said, “好的,稍后就来。“

So I stood outside the room waiting. Waited for 10 minutes but I was like transparent to everyone. My aunty went out to join me and we were both ignored too. After some time one staff finally noticed and came in to take our orders. Everything happened smoothly after we requested to feedback to the Boss. But anyway the food there was quite nice la. If those thing didnt happen, I'm sure I'd have enjoyed my dinner more. I just hope it's an isolated incident. :)

After dinner I met up with my cousin. He was so emo. So many people in relationship crisis now. I hope everyone is ok. Not ok can find me talk! (",)

Movie Review

This is a damn stupid movie. It is the chinese version of Epic movie. Though they have a strong cast, but the humour is so bad, I cant appreciate them. But if you got the time to spare, go watch it.

Confucius (孔子)

Movie Review

This is a great movie! I love it, though most parts of the movie is really quite complicated. One must learn and find out more about the great Confucius before watching the movie or else you will be confused by Confucius because he is confusing (if you didnt notice the "confu" part) Ok lame! I think it's good. Should watch.

A new movie is going to launch in Singapore coming 15 April 2010. The title of the movie is Ice Kacang Puppy Love (初恋红豆冰), produced by 阿牛大哥. He is a singer who sang 对面的女孩看过来 and 大肚腩, two very popular songs in late 90s and early 2000.

I was invited by OMY to attend this movie preview party and was happy to see him in person. I also saw DJ Jia Hui from YES 93.3 FM, as she is hosting the event. She did well and asked 阿牛大哥 alot of question. I also saw many of his supporters coming down to the event. He also played one game with his supporters on stage. Maybe you can click to see the video below. Lol.

He sang one song too! That is the song from his latest movie! You can preview the song in my below video as well. (",) The movie poster is so nice and I nearly wanted to bring it home with me. Inside the poster, you can see Gary Cao and Fish Leong also. Lol.

Attached two video that Boss took during the event and share with all of you.

A group of artistes and talents from RIG was invited by OMY to Ice Kacang Puppy Love media event, and my supporters Shirley, Mandy and Joseph(ine) also attended the event. Today got to know a new supporter, her name is Wei. I will upload her photo in my Facebook later.
I personally hope that all of you can show your support to this movie. I can feel 阿牛大哥's effort and his hardwork in this movie. The trailer quite well done and many famous artistes and singers acted in the movie. Hope next time I get a chance to act in movie too! Lol.

夜玩场 - Let's Play!

Thank you all for tuning in and joining me on air today!

Today is T.'s birthday! Actually tomorrow to be exact. Boss and I celebrated with him on our way to Mediacorp. Haha.

This is the donut gift cake specially custom made by Donut Empire for Peifen 姐 and Yes 933 FM. Beautiful right? (",)

It's my first time going to Yes 933 FM for interview. I'm actually quite nervous. Haha. Before going in, many thoughts were running through my mind. I didnt know if I'd do well, or if I'd be loss for words or say the wrong thing. I also didnt know what the DJ would be like.

But upon meeting Peifen 姐, I relaxed a little. She's very sweet and pretty in person (though she will protest my saying, haha). She kept saying she hasnt got any make up on but I really thought she looks good today.

The interview soon begun. Before that I was in a dazed. I didnt know what was coming and suddenly I was brought on air. Haha. I managed to keep calm and began the show. The hardest part was the 绕口令. Haha. I dont usually practice 绕口令 but today I was tasked to do a short tongue twister. After sweating my guts out, I managed to complete the task. Lol.

I hope I did well. And I hope everybody enjoyed it. I'm looking forward to my next radio interview! Thank you Yes 933 FM for giving me the opportunity and thank you Peifen 姐 for her guidance and patience towards me. (",)

Thank you Joseph, Serena, Shirley, T. and Shuping for coming down today. 大家都辛苦了! :)

Me before the interview :)

On the paper was the 绕口令. See my expression? Stunned. Haha.

Peifen 姐 and Me after the interview (",)

Will be attending another media event tomorrow for OMY.sg. It's a movie preview for ICE KACANG PUPPY LOVE 《初恋红豆冰》. Will be doing it with Ah Niu (阿牛) at Dragonfly!
